La Lune et Le soleil

Concept project

About the Clients

Natalia and Shakir are a married couple who have decided to propel their dream into reality. Natalia has a background in communications and worked in editing and production. Shakir has started many farm-to-table restaurants in the DMV area with his brothers.

Le Soleil et La Lune

Le Soleil et La Lune started out of the couple's frustration in finding an interior design studio that complimented their differing styles. The name represents the duality in styles, but also their personality, while representing their shared Louisiana Creole background. Natalie is the sun "Le Soleil ''; she's outgoing, bright, and she's drawn to open spaces and clean lines. Shakir is the moon "La Lune," reflective, stoic, and drawn to mood-evoking colors and decor with character.

The Details

They wanted to go all out with the launch of this business.

Deliverables include:

  • Brand messaging

  • Web copy

  • Lead magnet ideation and copy

  • Nurture email sequences

  • Launch social media captions

  • 4 blogs

The Goal

Although Natalia and Shakir are passionate about starting the studio, they weren’t sure how to express it in a way that would make sense to others. They also appreciate the beauty of language and didn’t want their copy to sound impersonal. They wanted the language to be as striking as the ideas that have blossomed into this new venture.

The Client Profile

Alec and Simone are also a married couple who have closed on their dream house in a quaint neighborhood. They look forward to putting up roots and personalizing their house to become home.

Alec is a New Orleans-born and raised jazz musician. Drawn to soulful art pieces, he believes that home should be a haven of relaxation.

Simone is a quick-witted social media manager who lives and breathes data and details. She loves to host parties and wants their house to be a beacon of gatherings.

Ideal Client Problems and Solutions

Problem Points:

Like the founders, Alec and Simone are opposites in their taste. They have no idea how to go about designing their homes in a way that serves both their wants and needs. They want to hire an interior design studio that understands these frustrations. Natalia finds Le Soleil et La Lune on Pinterest.

Solutions:

Le Soleil et La Lune is the perfect match for the couple. They resonate with Natalia and Shakir's story. Alec and Simone love the meaning behind the name and meaning of Le Soleil et La Lune. They're hopeful of the possibility of having a home that is functional and aesthetically pleasing. Le Soleil et La Lune’s values emphasize hospitality, essentialism, and innovation. This seals the deal for choosing to work with the studio.

The Highlights

I loved creating the about and services page as it introduced me more and more to the world of interior design. I enjoyed weaving the story together of the founders who are so entrenched in their passion for this business.

The Final Product

The website speaks to not only the dualities present in a relationship, but within every human. Le Soleil et La Lune Studios is a perfect example of prose combined with simplicity, compassion, and intention. It brings back the wonder of dreaming and resilience that drives many into entrepreneurship.
