Studio Junk

About the Client

Anjuli is the designer (or head junkist in charge) at Studio Junk. It is the place to be when the sea of minimalist design isn't cutting it for you. Studio Junk’s values-based, community-oriented approach is it's unique factor. Anjuli has also started a collaborative space . She also incorporates impact add-ons in every package.

Anjuli is passionate about her craft and committed to inclusivity. She shows that it is possible to create not only for the sake of art, but service. She inspires me to dream even higher for my brand and how to give back to the community.

What is Studio Junk?

Studio Junk is a Brand Identity and Squarespace Web Design studio for eclectic brands that want to leave feeling empowered at every level. Studio Junk exists to work with you, not just for you. By tailoring their services to every level, from DIY to custom, you'll get support every step of the way–and beyond.

The Details

I met Anjuli in a course on branding. She told me about her struggles in conveying what to say to her ideal clients and wanted clarity on how to do this.  Anjuli is ideal client. She is dedicated to representation in the entrepreneurship world. She constantly works to break down barriers, while giving back to the earth.

Deliverables include:

  • Brand Strategy

    • Brand Voice

    • Brand Positioning

    • Brand Messaging

    • Mission, Vision, and Philosophy

  • Website Copy

  • Blogging and Social Media Copy Strategy Guide

The Client Profile

The two client profiles included are the DIYer and the established business owner.

The first is Reyna, a busy entrepreneur who runs an eco-friendly product store. She is a plant and cat mom, loves to thrift, and is a supporter of brands with upfront and progressive values. This is why she wanted to work with Studio Junk.

Billie recently transitioned out of her full-time job to start her ethical consulting business. She is a vegan who loves NPR, Tiny House Nation, and going out to dance. Billie was scrolling through Instagram when she encountered Studio Junk on her explore page. She knew that this was the design studio for her.

Ideal Client’s Problems and Solutions

Problem Points:

Reyna has found that a lot of designers are transactional. She prefers to work with a designer that is personally committed to inclusivity in the green space.

While she is open to branding strategy, she doesn’t have time for courses or DIY’ing her branding and website. She wants 1-on-1 support as she doesn’t know how to further put in place her brand strategy across different channels.

Solution:

Reyna loves that Studio Junk puts people at the forefront and continues to amplify clients after the final deliverables.

The Trailblazer is the right package for her. She gets a customized brand and website, a community to network, and the satisfaction of supporting One Tree Planted.

Problem Points:

Billie wants to find a designer who has the same values as her and takes action on those values in a way that is non-performative.

Billie knows that she wants more support, but she doesn't have the funds to invest in custom design. She dislikes the rhetoric in the design space on custom design and pricing. She feels that it is shameful to newer entrepreneurs.

Solution:

Billie admires Studio Junk’s inclusivity of WOC, LGBTQI+, body inclusive, and differently-abled brand owners. Especially as a part of the eco-conscious narrative.

She decides to work with Studio Junk because of the values embedded throughout their platforms. She decides the Thrifter package is best. With this she gets brand identity and website wireframing support, which is more than what others offer. She walks away feeling empowered and supported by the Junk community.

The Highlights

My favorite part of the project was communicating the brands mission and philosophy. I love carving out the who and why of a brand as it illuminates the uniqueness that each brand holds.

The Final Product

Anjuli not only walked away with website copy that speaks to what she wanted as the founder, but what her ideal clients are seeking. To check out this exciting project (and join the community, open to all), head over to studiojunk.co
